The Bosch BSL 2470 battery charger avoids damage to the electronics in modern vehicles from voltage peaks when jump starting the car or recharging batteries. The robust device for use in professional garages permits particularly gentle starting and charging. Starter batteries can be easily charged while staying fitted. The BSL 2470 is suitable for 12 Volt and 24 Volt batteries and can be infinitely regulated to a maximum of 140/86 (arithmetic) Amps. It can therefore be easily adjusted to suit the capacity of the starter battery needing the charge.

Batteries can be gently charged with the defined current during a longer period of time or charged quickly in one hour. Long-term high performance is ensured by the especially powerful charger unit with which the BSL 2470 is equipped. It saves large power reserves, as required for starting successfully in all temperatures. The maximum starting support charge is 250 (arithmetic) Amps.

A special characteristic of the BSL 2470 is its temperature compensation. A switch can be used to define whether the temperature of the battery needing charging is above or below 15 C. In principle, this serves as a summer/winter switch which takes the different charges required at different temperatures into account. Temperature compensation ensures effective charging in winter at 14.4 Volt and gentle charging in the summer at 13.8 Volt. This also avoids water loss in the battery during charging, which can occur at high currents.

LEDs signal the charging voltage and status, as well as wrong charging poles and faults, to protect from incorrect use. The charger itself is protected against overloading. Three-meter charging cables with fully insulated charging tongs provide safe connections to the battery in your car - even in places that are difficult to reach. The charger's long power cable allows especially flexible work in the workshop. The BSL 2470 is convenient for workshops since it is stored in a robust, rollable metal case with the Bosch design.
