Bosch technology is in almost every vehicle – which is not surprising for the No. 1 automotive supplier. But did you know that Bosch also supplies many garages with diagnostic technology? Learn more about Bosch products and services for garages!

Testing technology from the developers
Bosch enables modern systems diagnostics on  professional developer standard. For instance, Bosch Motronic controls your engine’s fuel injection and ignition. The Motronic development know-how is also embedded in the Bosch KTS 650 mobile diagnostic tester – so that garages can access and analyze data directly from the control unit. Systems development know-how is integrated in all other Bosch testing units, too. The ESI[tronic] software from Bosch displays it on screen …

State-of-the-art software
Bosch supplies nearly all manufacturers with automotive technology and vehicle systems. The Bosch ESI[tronic] software shows in detail where and how Bosch technology is fitted in the relevant car and how the components interact with each other. Garages therefore have networked Bosch competence for almost every vehicle model at their disposal – an amazingly large knowledge base! Garage managers see all additional information on each tested component on screen. Step by step, ESI[tronic] permits them to detect all errors fast and efficiently. The Bosch software even displays the order number of the appropriate original spare part.

Ex-works spare part quality
Who could deliver better spare parts than Bosch, the No. 1 supplier to the automobile industry? Garages can fit the same quality into the cars they repair that manufacturers use in their new vehicles. The range includes everything from new brake systems to the Super 4 spark plug – an innovation from Bosch that uses four electrodes for maximum performance and durability. What was originally developed for new vehicles can also be used in the garage during servicing, maintaining the same quality standards.

Training and courses
Technical advances also place constantly increasing demands on garages. At the new Bosch Training Center in Plochingen, garage personnel is trained to use innovative vehicle technology. Every month, around 40 several-day training courses are held in Plochingen, always focussing on automotive systems – for example modern diesel injection. Halls are available for practical training on cars and trucks. Theoretical knowledge is always directly learned and applied in practice.

Knowledge database and hotline
The Bosch service for servicing: Even when exceptional problems arise in a garage, the staff can always rely on Bosch. In addition to a competent technical hotline, an Extranet-based knowledge database provides data on all brands and manufacturers around the clock.

Specialist publications
Bosch publications like the “Yellow Series” or Automotive Technical Handbook provide further support. After all, they are the industry’s standard textbooks, used by experts for decades and continuously updated.

As you can see: Bosch offers perfect technology and a wide-ranging service on every aspect of your car and for its entire lifecycle. Whether your vehicle needs the latest diagnostic units, ex-works quality spare parts or professionally trained garage staff, your car is always cared for perfectly with  developer know-how from Bosch!
