Time under control
Let us assume you take the subway to work, and on the way you buy the newspaper at a kiosk then take out some money from a cash machine at your bank.

It could well be that on your way you use various Bosch clock systems to orient yourself in time. Because Bosch clocks are present in almost all areas of daily life - from train and subway stations, retail stores and banks to schools, gymnasia, hospitals and radio stations.

As a rule, they are system installations with a radio-controlled master clock coupled to several slave clocks. All clocks in the system run synchronously, showing exactly the same time.

Aside from clocks with hands and digital clocks, alarm horns, lighting systems, machines and time booking systems can be coupled to the master clock.

Without such system solutions, a standard time display at different locations would be unthinkable. They are an indispensable requirement wherever people need to know exactly the same time.

90 years in the history of time

The story starts with Harry Fuld's company ''Deutsche Privat-Telephon Gesellschaft H. Fuld & Co.'', which began producing clock systems in 1913. This company developed into the firms ''Telefonbau und Normalzeit Lehner & Co. KG'' (1936), ''Telenorma GmbH'' (1989) and ''Bosch-Telecom GmbH'' (1995).
Today the production of clock systems is a fundamental activity of the Security Systems Division at Robert Bosch GmbH.
